School Ambassadors

In September 2011, the school introduced the role of School Ambassadors for pupils in year 6. These posts were created in recognition of the importance of our school values:
Perseverance, Aspiration, Respect and Teamwork.

Each academic year pupils in year 6 present their views regarding the importance and place of the values in the life of the whole school community. All pupils then vote for their favourite candidates and so the Deputy and Lead Ambassadors are elected.

These pupils understand the important role they play in being the pupil representatives and public face of the school. They undertake many duties during the year including leading tours of the school for visitors and prospective parents. They also welcome visitors to the school and community events, most recently the Bishop of Horsham, Cabinet Member for Education and the Mayor of Cuckfield. The Values Ambassadors take a leading role each week, during our whole school Worship, by presenting the Leaves of Achievement to pupils who have been recognised for their excellent contribution to the school ethos and values.

The pupils' achievements are celebrated through the weekly newsletter and are displayed on our 'Tree of Achievement' which was commissioned as part of the school's 500th anniversary in 2012.
