Our outside environment
Here, at Holy Trinity, our children and staff benefit from six acres of diverse outside space. Our grounds include mature woodland, playing fields and meadows, a stream and a pond as well as garden and sensory spaces.
Each day our children enjoy their break and lunchtime outside on our playgrounds where they can explore willow tunnels, a pirate ship and other play equipment. In drier months the children also play on our large sports and play fields which now feature a popular climbing wall.
Holy Trinity has a Forest Schools’ trained teacher and we have plans to train more staff so all children enjoy the benefits of forest schools and outdoor learning. With their teachers the children regularly use the grounds to enhance their learning with science experiments, pond dipping, messy maths and creative writing. Our Reception children are regularly spotted in the mud kitchen. We also use the grounds for sport and PE including a new orienteering trail as well as just for fun and games.
Outside of school hours several clubs make use of the grounds – making dens and climbing trees. We also welcome bookings for parties or other activities. Please contact the School Office for details.
Hiring the school and grounds
We are proud of our school and its beautiful grounds and happy to share them with local groups, clubs and families.
Out of school hours the hall is a great place to have a birthday party or other celebration. And grounds have been used to host outdoor themed parties as well as after school clubs. We also welcome holiday and weekend clubs.
The cost for hire can be found in the Terms & Conditions. And all money raised goes straight back to the school via the Governing body.
